My Public Outreach story started in September of 2013 on the streets of Adelaide! After 6 months I was given the opportunity to become the Adelaide Fundraising Manager, which I happily accepted. Since then I have moved to New Zealand to be the first Program Manager for PONZ! Everyday I wake up knowing that becoming a part of the PO family was one of my greatest decisions!

Heyo! My name is Madeline and I grew up in a small town near Byron Bay. My time at Public Outreach has definitely been the most memorable and life-changing chapter in my life so far! I absolutely love being able to genuinely connect with like minded and passionate people so that we can come together and change the world. My favourite thing about fundraising is being able to allow people to truly realise the potential they have to make a massive and tangible difference.
Fun fact: I am mortally terrified of cane toads, and I am all for pineapple on pizza!
Auckland Call Centre Leader
I started in Melbourne as a little fundraiser when I first arrived in Australia in May 2017. My plan wasn’t to stay long, just save enough money to travel around the country… but Public Outreach had me sold! I’ve been very lucky, PO has given me loads of opportunities to develop personally and professionally and also a chance to cross the sea to NZ. I love the work culture here, the people I work with and being able to represent and make a difference with some really cool charities!
Fun fact: I love listening to French rap music, despite not knowing any of the language!

Hiya! My name's Marcus and I'm basically a backpacker from the UK. After doing lots of hospitality work in different parts of the world, I stumbled across Public Outreach in Melbourne and I haven't looked back since! This job has been like a one-stop shop for me: it really suits my cheery personality and I absolutely love the family vibe and how satisfied I feel after an awesome week. On top of that the legends I've met along the way are genuinely some of the best friends I've made in all my travels! My favorite part of fundraising is watching how much people grow and progress in the job. When you see someone who was nervous in their first week getting to the point that they're running their own team and raising huge amounts of donations for charity, wow! I'm super grateful for everything I've been able to achieve in fundraising and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Wellington Program Manager
Hi there, my name is Wayne Aquila. Born and bred in Wellington, NZ, my fundraising story started over 4 years ago with UNICEF Ireland. Falling into fundraising by accident, I immediately fell in love with it right from my first day. The like minded people, the underlying theme of helping others, and meeting and inspiring people from all walks of life are the 3 draw cards which keep me going to this day. Starting with Public Outreach in May 2018 has been a great decision!
Fun fact: I once sleepwalked to a local park and woke up mid-flight on a set of swings!
Auckland Campaign Manager
I began my Public Outreach journey in 2017 as a fundraiser. Being a marketing enthusiast, I'm an extroverted character who loves networking and socialising! A batsman by talent and a campaign manager by profession defines me completely. After almost 8 years of sales and marketing experience, I found my forte in fundraising. It makes me feel extremely proud to raise money for the needy!
Fun fact: I am quite witty and have a great comedic timing!
